Making them the fastest selling Early Bird tickets in Standon’s history! With the Super early bird tickets all gone, the generous folk at Standon Calling have now released a limited amount of Early Bird tickets at the bargain price of just £85, nearly half the price of some other the other festivals on the circuit.
“This is the fastest any Standon Calling Early Bird tickets have sold out ever, and we’re anticipating similar demand for the next batch of tickets,” says production director Graham MacVoy. ” Hopefully this shows that people who came last year had such a good time that they wanted to guarantee they were at next year’s party.”
If you’re wondering what to get a special someone for Christmas this year, escaping to the country for a weekend of frivolities at Standon Calling would be just the ticket!
Over the years Standon Calling have established a track record for booking top notch acts, often just before they make the big time! Mumford and Sons, Florence and the Machine and Friendly Fires all performed at the festival months before smashing the music charts!
The festival plans to announce its annual theme in early 2012. In signature style the theme will take over the festival site with interactive theatre, art installations and the ever-more impressive costumes the crowd dream up. In a new development and in response to festival goers requests to really go to town with a party on the Friday night, 2012 will see Standon take it back to the old school by opening with a rave!
This year’s festival is over the weekend of August 3-5 in Standon, Hertfordshire, just 45 minutes away from London. The UK’s only festival with a swimming pool, Standon Calling is a three-day party with musical icons, breakthrough acts, themed fancy dress, an on-site nightclub and bars that never seem to close.
Regular Early Bird Tickets are now on sale at just £85 each, after the £79 Super Early Bird Tickets sold out in less than a week.
