Earn a free festival ticket by raising funds for Bristol based charity KOP (Kenyan Orphan Project)

For the first year at The Big Chill a charitable bike ride named the Tour deChill is set to take place. Not just an exciting way to get to the festival sitefrom Bristol, the Tour De Chill is also a fantastic fundraising event andenvironmental initiative. One of The Big Chill’s official charity partners,Bristol-based KOP (Kenyan Orphan Project), will benefit from the moneyraised by the initiative.

The inaugural Tour de Chill will take place on Thursday 4th August, from Bristol to The Big Chill site, a total of70 refreshing kilometres towards the original Boutique festival. Participants will be asked to fundraise aminimum amount of £150 (plus a £50 registration fee) for the challenge; in return they will be given a muchsought-after weekend ticket to The Big Chill 2011 upon completion of their cycling challenge. Participantswill also receive refreshments during the ride, a limited edition Tour de Chill T-Shirt not to mention hot watershowers and a well-deserved massage waiting for them as they get on site! Their festival bags and camping essentials will also be driven to the site ahead of the biking party.

Tour de Chill will raise essential funds for KOP www.KOPafrica.org, allowing them to provide vital support toorphans and vulnerable children through health, nutrition and education programmes in Kenya. In October 2010 ateam of Festival Republic and KOP bikers completed 435km in 5 days in Kenya in a similar fundraising appeal forKOP.
