The Real Thing added to the Wychwood Festival 2018 line up

Wychwood Festival which takes place from Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd June at The Cheltenham Racecourse has revealed another raft of acts, joining the likes of The Gipsy Kings, Baxter Dury and Shed Seven.

The new additions to the main stage line up are: The Real Thing , seminal soul outfit Edwin Starr Band, the multi-award winning folk-rock band Skerryvore, punk-rock singer Toyah Wilcox, electro swing duo The Correspondents plus Doctor and the Medics.

The Big Top Stage additions announced today are Bristol based Fenne Lily's plus Harrison Storm, Cosmic Strip, Gizmo Varillas, Soeur, Vonhorn, and The Americas.

The Hobgoblin Stage will see performances from: Holly Holden Y Su Banda with her Caribbean beat inspired tunes and Karl Phillips & The Rejects performing their mashups of ska, punk and grime.

Topping off the festival’s already bursting family entertainment offering, legendary duo Dick & Dom will take to the main stage. Wychwood will also host hula-hooping from Marawa's Majorettes, an opening night ceilidh from Ceilidh Liberation Front and a great programme of participatory activities including swing dance lessons, arts & crafts, music quizzes, crazy chemistry, street theatre, magic, circus skills and much more. Plus Wychwood have announced six new venues across the festival including The Storybox where festival-goers can find authors Andy Seed, Gareth P Jones & Gemma Hastilow, Tony de Saulles and many more. 

Wychwood is a great family festival there is a plentiful programme of arts, culture and family activities. This year there will be an abundance of games and mayhem to get involved in. From World Class Street Theatre, side-splitting comedy shows, thought-provoking talks and story-telling from leading children’s authors, all ages have been lovingly catered for. And there’s plenty of workshops to take part in too. Learn a new skill in the crafts area, try your hand at circus skills, sing your heart out, or practice your swing moves and dazzle on the dance floor. Indulge in the bursting programme of colourful arts workshops, join the carnival parade or challenge friends in a volleyball tournament. Those looking to relax and rejuvenate can head over to the Wellbeing area where expert therapists are on hand offering an array of massage therapies and yoga classes for all ages and abilities.
