2000trees festival announced their Friday's headline acts for 2012, they are 65daysofstatic on the main stage, Pulled Apart By Horses on The Cave and The Xcerts on the Leaf Lounge.

Other acts unveiled today are My First Tooth, Brontide, Turbowolf, Freeze the Atlantic, Marmozets, Run,WALK!, Shapes, The Bronze Medal, Goodnight Lenin, The Cadbury Sisters, Sam Russo, Jason Steel and Sam Brookes.

2000trees celebrates new and underground British music and features 80 bands on four stages, plus comedy, DJs, silent disco, children’s entertainment and great quality food and drink. It returns for its sixth year near Cheltenham on July 12-14 and has seen record ticket sales in its first two weeks.

Organiser James Scarlett said: "We have searched the UK for the very best new and underground music, plus we've had over a thousand applications from talented bands and hundreds of suggestions from our fans.

"We're delighted with the line-up so far and we hope everyone sees lots that they like too. I for one cannot wait to hear them all live at Upcote Farm this summer.”

Acts already announced include Imperial Leisure, Tellison, Tall Ships, Straight Lines, The Cape of Good Hope and I, the Lion.
