Lé Festival Sertchais dé Folk will take place in the Channel Islands on 29 June - 1 July 2012. Online tickets go on sale on 1 November 2011. Organisers are also inviting applications from artists wishing to perform at the festival via the website.

The 2011 festival sold out, so this year tickets have gone on sale early to give festival-goers plenty of time to buy their tickets and plan their travel and accommodation. The organisers have committed to keep ticket numbers down, to keep the festival on the right scale for the small island of Sark. This means the event is uniquely intimate, while offering an impressive line-up that is earning the festival a reputation for innovation and becoming the festival artists want to perform at.

Festival organisers are still keeping the details of this year’s line-up under wraps, but promise its third year will be just as good as previous years. SpiralEarth, Britain's largest folk website did a special feature on the 2011 festival calling it 'probably the best festival of its size in 2011'. The event is certainly generating a lot of interest on the UK folk scene and organisers have been inundated by enquiries from performers and their agents.

The festival is now taking applications from artists who want to perform at the festival via the website. Follow the link to the artist application form on the homepage at www.sarkfolkfestival.com.
