Statement from organisers reads:

"Having considered all of the factors surrounding the festival we have reached the decision that the current climate is not one in which we can provide you the festival you deserve.

With regret, The Trowbridge Festival is cancelled for 2012.

We are determined that the festival will continue, and so we are moving our plans forward to next year.

We will keep you up to date with developments and news of the festival via the mailing lists, Facebook, and Twitter.

All tickets will be refunded, please bear with us as processing the numbers sold will take some time."
