V Festival, the music festival sponsored by Virgin Media, is set to launch a set of live TV ads in the run up to this weekend’s festival.
The TV ads will give viewers the chance to win tickets to V Festival, which is currently sold out. Winners will get the chance to see the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, Plan B and Eminem at the festival, which is held across sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on 20th and 21st August.
These TV ads follow on the back of promotional literature, mainly in the form on online promotion and poster printing. The Chelmsford and Staffordshire based festival has been advertised on posters throughout the country since Manchester-based creative agency Love was appointed to create the festival’s visual identity in earlier this year.
Love created a series of illustrations in conjunction with US-based artist Jared Nickerson which were then translated across a number of platforms, including social media, websites, programmes and tickets. The creative also ran in print via press ads.
The TV ads are set to be broadcast live in the run up to the weekend and will feature Celebrity Juice host Keith Lemon. These ads will serve to generate a buzz around the festival, giving people the chance to see the ad one day and potentially win a chance to be at the festival the next. The ads will carry on the momentum that has been growing throughout the year via the online and print campaigns.
