We Own, the exciting new club and fashion brand, is set to bring the biggest party that the cult Mother’s Ruin dance stage at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (5th/6th August – Beauly, Inverness-shire) has seen so far. 

The arena will be showcasing a hand-picked selection of We Own's favourite DJs from across Scotland's electro club scene including: One Dollar Dave; Dan Rane; Abraham Thunderwolf; Ian Billet; Polymath; Lions? Lions!; Planisfear & Esbjerg; Hot Knives; Jakk – IT & Saizme; Talcolm X; and Eezma. Unicorn Kid, who plays elsewhere at Bella on the Friday night, will headline Mother’s Ruin on the Saturday night.

We Own is the brainchild of four young electronic music lovers, created out of their love of partying. It is primary a clothing line directed at the electronic music scene (available from www.weown.org). We Own also set the standard for some of the biggest parties in Scotland - one of this year's events being a sell-out party with superstar DJs Pete Tong & Afrojack in an Edinburgh shopping centre. As well as taking over the ruins for the weekend, the brand’s much anticipated summer range of clothing will be on sale from their merchandise tent - right beside the ruin.

ONE DOLLAR DAVE

We Own resident Dave Lloyd is proving himself as one of the most promising young electronic producers in Scotland. Whilst still a teenager at just 19, he’s been supporting some of the biggest names in the scene; from Pete Tong & Afrojack to Skream & Benga, Mylo, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Mightyfools, DemSlackers & more.

DAN RANE

Edinburgh based, We Own resident Jordan Cochrane has supported Afrojack, Pete Tong, Goldfish, Riva Starr, Alex Metric, Mylo, Thomas Gandey, The Magician, Bart B More, Crookers, Mightyfools, Dem Slackers & more. His productions have recently received support from house legend, Steve Mac. Expect big roomhouse, disco and tech house.

ABRAHAM THUNDERWOLF

Beauly based Ian Cattanach has supported the likes of Toddla T, Mightyfools, Dem Slackers, Ado & More. Ian has played a number of We Own events and never fails to impress - expect electro-house bangers from start to finish.

IAN BILLET

Fresh from behind the decks at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Ian Billet guarantees big tech house sounds. Having supported Pendulum, Alex Metric, Kissy Sell Out and others, he is set to take over the Mothers Ruin.

POLYMATH

Hailing from the Scottish Highlands, Polymath has received huge support from Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out. His tracks have also been played out by Zombie Nation, Wolfgang Gartner, Don Rimini, Punks Jump Up and many more.

LIONS? LIONS!

Gus Armstrong & Tim James (European Corona DJ Finalist) are big players in the Edinburgh electro scene - both residents at the much loved Edinburgh club night ‘Fuse’. Have supported the likes of Kissy Sell Out, Doorly, Congorock, Zombie Nation & much more.

PLANISFEAR & ESBJERG

At just 17 years old, Tore born Alex Peasey’s electro productions have already received support from Radio 1’s Kissy Sell Out. Alex is joined by Glasgow based DJ John Lees (AKA Esbjerg) - Expect bouncing electro and techno from this duo!

HOT KNIVES

Max Randall & Kai Davidson have supported Hey Today, Calvertron, Hostage, Dem Slackers, A1 Bassline, Drop The Lime and Yolanda Be Cool. Expect pounding techno and heavy electro.

JAKK IT & SAIZME

Local Electro duo originally from Inverness-shire; based in Edinburgh. Holding residencies at some of Edinburgh’s best electro club nights including Candyboxx and Intoxic.

TALCOLM X

Resident at Electrique Boutique, Kaplank Kapow in Aberdeen, Euan Williamson always makes sure the crowd are enjoying his disco and electro selection of tracks.

EEZMA

Electro House DJ from Aberdeen, Calum Stuart; Finalist of RockNess DJ Competition and Resident of monthly club night at Club Snafu; ‘Everything Else Sucks’. Previously supported A1 Bassline, Hostage, Shadowdancer, Foamo and Zombie Nation to name a few.

UNICORN KID

Oliver Sabin, signed to Ministry of Sound and Ultra Records is an electronic/chip music producer and musician based in Edinburgh. He has made appearances at dozens of festivals including Bestival, The Great Escape and many more. He has supported the likes of Calvin Harris, Pet Shop Boys, Hadouken! and Owl City.

Belladrum 2011 takes place in the beautiful Highland surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire. The independent festival has built a reputation for its eclectic line-ups, its offbeat non-musical entertainments and its all-ages approach. The festival won a VisitScotland Thistle Award in 2009 and is a past winner of the Grassroots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards, the festival industry’s ‘oscars’.
