Denmark's Roskilde Festival have added another headliner to the 2017 event, the Canadian Grammy award winner The Weekend, joining previously announced headliners Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire
Head of Programme Anders Wahrén says: “We have been following The Weeknd since the beginning, and it’s no secret that he’s been topping the wishlists of our fans for the past couple of years. It’s very rare for an underground phenomenon to rise to the top while staying true to his own sound and past. Being one of the biggest pop artists in the world right now, this is a very special artist, and we’re thrilled that he’ll be headlining side by side with acts like Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire.”
Roskilde is one of Northern Europe's oldest festivals having started life in 1971 and now attracts 100,000 festival goers annually. The 2017 edition of Roskilde takes place from Saturday 24th June - Saturday 1st July 2017 at Rosklide, Denmark, approximately 35km from Copenhagen.
