Yorkshire’s premier four day music event and Scotland’s most artistic boutique festival have allied this summer to give their audiences more for their money.

Willowman based in North Yorkshire, will be taking a truckload of PA and sound equipment up to the Eden Festival near the Scottish border town of Moffat. In return several tons of unique décor and artistic lighting will make the Journey south to the Willowman site close to the busy market town of Northallerton.

Willowman director Steve Williams explained “Eden and Willowman have been on friendly terms for a number of years now, we are only a week apart and share the same enthusiasm for giving our customers as good a time as possible. I have a warehouse full of top quality sound and lighting equipment whilst Eden are awash with décor and artistic instillations, it seemed obvious to us that we should swap equipment to both save costs and lift each other’s game.”

Artistic director for the Eden festival Sally Campbell commented “ Both events are striving to give our customers a memorable weekend away, the key ingredients for a successful festival are professional sound systems, out of this world décor, varied food and quality drink, l am more than happy to be working with Willowman to benefit our audiences.”

The 2012 Willowman takes place over the summer solstice weekend of the 21st to 24th June. Now in its third year it has undergone some major changes to build upon its family friendly and diverse audience. The line up is arguably the most eclectic to date with rising stars like Vintage Trouble and Benjamin Francis Leftwich sharing a billing with old school classics such as Utah Saints and Stranglers ex frontman Hugh Cornwell. Willowman has also recently uprooted and moved to a new purpose built showground just off the A19 at Hillside Rural Activities Park. An additional two stages featuring acoustic acts and vintage Jamaican reggae have also been added to celebrate the events third birthday.

Eden festival has also transformed itself for its fourth outing on the 15th of June. A hand built wooden stage will now take centre place on the Raehills meadow site in South West Scotland. Artistic structures will compliment an off the wall line up to entertain the Eden masses. Badly Drawn Boy, The Peatbog Fairies and The Cuban Brothers will head up the musical offerings which take place across eight pocket sized stages.
