The Willowman festival returns to North Yorkshire this weekend following last year’s highly regarded and multi award nominated inaugural event. Promising to recreate the festival vibe that some of the larger festivals have left behind; you can expect great music and an excellent festival crowd chilling in this beautiful area of the UK.

One of the best live bands around, Alabama 3, will be kicking up their usual genre defying acid country rock on Saturday night, accompanied by the likes of Banco De Gaia , Toploader and Subsource.  Over a packed weekend expect to see Easy Star All-Stars, Goldheart Assembly, Ade Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds, and Saint Jude.  Festivals For All is particularly looking forward to the Gong family related Here And Now and the impeccable Mr Steve Hillage / Ms Miquette Giraudy fronted System 7 blowing away the Solstice weekend. There are some special guests appearing over the weekend – watch out for a dynamic young guitarist appearing with The New York All-Stars! 

As festival director Steve Williams told FFA recently "We’ve pulled in some big acts again this year such as Alabama 3, Toploader, System7, and Ade Edmondson, but there is also real quality throughout the line-up.  My special tips for the future are Subsource and Goldheart Assembly. We’ve also some superb local talent like White Negroes, Mercedes, and NEEB.  As the festival is held around the summer solstice and the festival site has a strong pagan history with its own Sentry Circle I was keen to have bands like Easy Star All-Stars playing elements of Dub Side Of The Moon & the rejuvenated Toploader playing Dancing In The Moonlight on balmy solstice evenings to add that special vibe.  I’m thrilled to be able to offer acts of this calibre within a cost package of £70 for the weekend including parking and the like.”
