Situated on farmland known locally as ‘the Rabbit Warren’ in the parish of St Sampson on the Channel Island of Guernsey, the event will take place on 23rd and 24th June. Its hugely successful debut last year under the name The Guernsey Festival of Performing Arts resulted in the festival being shortlisted in the Best New Festival category by the UK Festival Awards. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better than the last.

Guernsey Festival 2012

After welcoming the likes of Ocean Colour Scene, Primal Scream and Example last year, Guernsey Festival is now the biggest festival on the island. Organisers receive thousands of requests from unsigned acts from around the region and across the UK applying to play at the festival, but there just aren’t enough spaces for everyone! So for the 2012 festival, Guernsey is going to choose just one Live and Unsigned act to play their festival. The lucky act will be chosen from the Grand Finalists.

A spokesman for Guernsey Festival said; “Guernsey Festival is making many exciting additions to the scheduling this year and the inclusion of Live and Unsigned is one of those. It will be great to host a grand finalist from a national competition, judged by industry professionals, at our second festival.”
