Worcester Mucis Festival definitely exceeded last year's audience figures of 11,000, with some truly amazing highlights. These included local band Jasper In The Company Of Others in the Marr's Bar on Saturday night, who, on the back of the buzz of the festival, went on to seal a place in the final of Surface Festival at London's 02 (main stage) in September the night after their appearance at WMF.

They also saw 18-year-old Evangeline Cunningham get up at the Acoustic Folk Jamboree at the Farriers Arms and stun the pub's 60 or so punters with an exquisite aria - turns out she was head chorister at Worcester Cathedral, but she literally appeared out of nowhere!

They had V2A at the Worcester Arts Workshop, who brought along a snow machine, a mountain of fantastic folk at the Guildhall, with audience highlights including The Dean Elliott Band, Colin Baggs, Dryftwood, Kings and Folk and Granny's Attic, and so many more amazing performances and workshops, all while raising money for New Hope children's respite centre. The feedback has been overwhelming and they would like to thank everyone who gave up their time for free to make this the best WMF yet!
