The Prodigy set to headline Y Not Festival

Y Not Festival is back for its 18th edition, promising another unforgettable music experience in Derbyshire from 31 July to 3 August 2025. Leading the charge are a trio of legendary headliners: The Prodigy, Courteeners, and Madness, supported by an incredible line up spanning decades of hits and emerging talent.

The festivities kick off on Thursday, with The Wombats delivering their trademark upbeat indie-pop anthems on the Big Gin stage. Their latest album, Oh! The Ocean, showcases genre-blending experimentation, offering an exhilarating start to the festival.

Friday belongs to The Prodigy, electronic music pioneers who revolutionized the rave and dance scene. Known for their explosive live performances and hits like “Firestarter” and “Breathe,” the group promises an unforgettable spectacle as they headline the first official festival day.

On Saturday, Courteeners take centre stage. Fresh off their latest album, Pink Cactus Cafe, the band’s dynamic sound and anthem-like hooks have earned them accolades and fans worldwide. Their set will surely be a celebration of their ever-evolving artistry.

Sunday sees Madness, the iconic ska and pop legends, bringing the weekend to a rousing close. With a career spanning decades and hits like “Our House” and “It Must Be Love,” their performance guarantees a joyous finale.

The 2025 line up is packed with exceptional talent. Highlights include Primal Scream, pioneers of British alternative rock with their era-defining album Screamadelica, and Franz Ferdinand, delivering crowd-pleasers like “Take Me Out” and “Do You Want To.” Critically acclaimed pop sensation Sigrid and Britpop icons Shed Seven will also take the stage. Formerly known as Easy Life, hard life makes their Y Not debut with a fresh indie-pop sound, while beloved DJ Annie Mac and indie newcomers The Ks promise unforgettable sets. Fans can also look forward to performances from Maximo Park, The Pigeon Detectives, The Last Dinner Party, Professor Green, The Hunna, Red Rum Club, Vistas, The Twang, Seb Lowe, and more, ensuring something for every music fan.

Y Not 2025 promises a weekend full of iconic performances, genre-spanning artistry, and electrifying energy. With headliners who’ve defined their genres and an eclectic supporting lineup, it’s set to be one of the festival’s biggest years yet.
