Cockermouth Rock Festival is delighted to announce that Zane Lowe will be joining the CockRock 2012 line up to DJ on Saturday night!

Starting his radio career hosting XFM’s Music Response, Zane currently heads up Radio1’s flagship evening slot 7-9pm Monday – Thursday.  Showcasing the hottest new music, the show has won numerous plaudits.

Zane has won the Gold Award in The Specialist Music Programme Award, as well as Music Broadcaster of the Year categories in  2006, 2010 and 2011 at the Sony Radio Academy Awards

Zane started his TV career at MTV in 1999 with “Brand New”,  then went onto present  MTV2’s weekly flagship show “Gonzo”  interviewing the biggest names including Paul McCartney, REM and the Foo’s to name a few. Zane can now be seen on BBC2 covering the Glastonbury festival

Zane Lowe, the live experience : As part of the New Zealand band, Breaks Co-op, Zane has released 2 albums and continues to dj around the globe recently working with the brand DJ Hero. 

Zane will join FUN LOVIN CRIMINALS *  TINCHY STRYDER *  BUZZCOCKS * THE SUBWAYS * LOWER THAN ATLANTIS, SENSER,  DR & THE MEDICS *GOLDIE LOOKIN CHAIN DJ'S RHYS AND EGGSY * DUB PISTOLS SOUNDSYSTEM DJ & MC SET and many more at the 3 day festival. 

Many more acts for the festival are still to be announced including full line ups for Tent 42, Jambeater Reggae Tent, The Session Stage and The Dance Tent.
