Cazfest 2015 Overview

Cazfest is an all-day summer music event that was first held in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire in 2009 with local and popular bands, alongside a wide range of other entertainment, all in memory of Caroline Johnstone.

Caroline Johnstone - Fairy CazCaroline (Caz) was a 17 year old student of The Bishop's Stortford High School studying for her “A” levels who had hoped to go to Newcastle University to study English Language.

On June 6th 2008, while with friends at a night club, she collapsed and, despite the prompt attendance of the medical services, she was never able to regain consciousness.

She died peacefully on June 12th 2008.

All net proceeds from Cazfest go towards raising awareness of heart risk in young people and to helping them finance heart screening for sixth form students in Hertfordshire and Essex.

As Cazfest gathers momentum, they are looking to expand their funding for heart screening into East London and beyond.

Their hope is that they can raise awareness of heart risk in young people to the point where heart screening is automatically provided to all young people across the country.
