Leigh Folk Festival is the largest free folk festival in the country.

The first Leigh Folk Festival was held in 1992, over the intervening period the festival has grown enormously in both scope and scale. The festival now encompasses concerts, dance displays, ceilidhs, a centrepiece procession, workshops, open mic, kids’ activities, film, street theatre, storytelling and plenty more besides.
